I tried Bazaar, by building it myself, Thoughts

Yep, I'm aware this can easily become a long thread but trust me on this

Sooooooo, the default Gnome Software fantastic as it is tends to be a bit sluggish at times, Bazaar does not have this issue full stop.

it appears to run much faster and quite well in comparison.

design?

Looks fantastic and because it isn't too hard to change colours or how things look and feel, it is modern, flows well and displays the right amount of information it definitely fits in with Zorin OS/Gnome's asthetics.

Current usability,

There are a number of bugs mentioned in the Github however when you filter there are only 22 actual bugs and i did not encounter these in my standard use and testing.

Thoughts on it as a relatively new Linux user who has distro hopped a ton.

Overall its a great upgrade from the default software manager,
yes there are less graphical tools and those have their distros and use-cases with beginner focused or ease of use focused distros like Zorin/Mint/Fedora theirs absolutely a strong case to be made for a good first impression and Bazaar delivers that.

Do i personally believe it should be on Zorin or accessible via the default software manager for download, Yes after using it i can say i prefer it.

I believe this is fast because it uses flatpak which personally I abhor as much as Snaps. The first thing I did after installing Zorin 17.2 (I didn't want Brave Browser), I removed gnome-software completely and install tried and tested Synaptic Package Manager. Apart from installing apps you can use it to update the system. This is why I prefer PCLOS-Debian Plasma over Gnome. I only have Zorin present to assist on here.

I have also trialed the synaptic package manager also a really cool way of doing things.

I didn't consider that the speed could be a possible result of only doing flatpak's, that's a fantastic point I didn't think on

I haven't had a ton of experience with snaps outside of my time on Ubuntu when I hopped around,

I have one single program on Zorin as a snap clip studio, which I trialed however it wouldn't read my activation licence key so I couldn't sell my partner on it

Well, the Problem with Bazaar is that it is only for Flatpaks. You could bring it in Zorin but it could cause Irritations and confuse when there are suddenly 2 Software Stores.
