So I'm a long time Mint user. I have one laptop I can't install Mint on, so I installed Zorin OS. Everything is going smoothly except, I want a "My Computer" icon on the desktop. I go to Zorin Appearance, Desktop and scroll down to icons, there is an on and off setting for "Home", "Trash", "Mounted Volume" and "Network Servers" (as well as a global setting that has to be on to use them).
I have them all checked. But I would like one for "My Computer". I do this because I have an encrypted data drive that I manually mount. I don't want to have to launch the Disks app every time I want to mount it. In Mint, I simply go to the "My Computer" double click the encrypted drive and enter my password. I want to do this on Zorin. Please help.
I am relatively new to Linux and even newer to Zorin (had it up and running for 3 days). I am an experienced user though having spent a decent amount of time in CPM, MS DOS, Unix, AmigaDos and MacOSX. Although I'm new to Linux.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Welcome to the Forum!
Open Nautilus (the File Manager) and look at the left Side. Click there on ''Other Places''.
Beside that: You could set the Drive to ''Automount''. Then it would be mounted on Startup.

Hello, or use the NEMO app (popular on Linux Mint), which is also installed in Zorin.

You can also make a desktop shortcut that opens the drive right away. Just create an empty file on your desktop called something like MyDrive.desktop, edit it so it opens Nautilus with your drive’s mount path (for example, /media/YOUR_USERNAME/YOUR_DRIVE_LABEL), and save it. Once the path is set correctly, you’ll have a one-click icon for the drive.
If you want the encrypted drive to mount automatically when you start your computer, open the Disks app, select the partition, go to Edit Mount Options, and turn on “Mount at system startup.

It isn't installed on Zorin. But You can install it.
I don't want it automount (or I would have configured it as such). However, the advice helps. Instead of launching disks I can just double click the Home folder and click other locations. (Why didn't I think of that)
Good enough.
Thanks

When You have clicked on ''Other Locations'', click on ''Zorin OS''. Then in the Path Bar at the Top, click on the 3 Dots at the End and choose the Option to add it to the Bookmarks. Then a Link appears on the Left. Then You can rename it:
