Luckily it was only cosmetic extensions that broke and not eg. Dash to Dock which would render Gnome DE completely useless.
So I have to wait for the maintainers of those extensions to update to current Gnome 50.
This is the main problem with Gnome (Extension compatibility) and KDE Plasma (Widget compatibility).
Why do these two DE's keep moving the parameters? Quite a lot of these add-ons are not all created with a financial incentive but by devs who want to bring useful items not included in the core DE. Then the DE devs keep upping the anti putting the onus on the Extension and Widget writers to update their code. I can see why lightweight alternatives like xfce are more popular than the heavyweights because of this conundrum.
Why can't KDE stick at 5.27.x for example? Why the constant push for higher numbers? Is it the ever updating kernel that is responsible for this? No, I don't think so. My PCLOS Debian based on Debian 12 is running Liquorix 6.19-14 and using Plasma 5.27.
I also find it extremely annoying that application creators are aiming solely at Gnome and systemd operating systems and Ubuntu (ProtonVPN, Winboat, Brailleblaster).
I really like the liquorix kernel now machine is running perfect. and so is Zorin..solved the screen qlitching in Wayland was the live wallpaper so i installed varity and it changes all the new reg wallpapers
