Initramfs boot up issues

I have had to do a repair three times now when it failed to boot up and stopped at the initramfs error. I have fixed the problem with the fsck /dev/sda2 -y command.
It is however bloomin annoying that this happens after an update.
Am I just unlucky, is it a common problem or is it my laptop causing it (generally speaking as I know we cannot get too specific)

Hello and welcome to the forum

According to this page:

If you keep getting this error often, probably your hard disk is getting weaker. In that case, it is recommended to backup the data and replace the hard disk as soon as possible.

You might want to check the integrity of your SSD/HDD.

Agreed... If this is happening after every update, your drive is failing.
