I'm trying to use InputLeap with Zorin as the client, and all I get is a prompt from "portal" asking for remote desktop permission, and when I grant it the same window just pops back up. Thanks in advance!!
I haven't heard of this software at all off the top of my head, but first thing I would try is switching from Wayland to X. To do this, at the login screen when you're entering your password, click the cog in the bottom right corner, and select Zorin on X. Then try again.
I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't function properly on Wayland at the moment. Not saying that that's 100% the issue, but it's worth a shot as it's the easiest fix.

I will try it, but it's a fork of barrier for Wayland so I would hope it works on it

Great to hear! The fun about Wayland is I have run into a MYRIAD of programs that claim they work on it... for them to very clearly not work on it (at the very least, in some ways). So I've always been safe just staying on X (even though I do like the smoothness Wayland brings to most desktop things... it's just not feature parity enough for me to want it 24/7).
