Attempting to install Zorin desktop on top of Ubuntu server fails because the Zorin repositories do not have a release file(according to the error output of the command line.) I'm guessing that this is a ARM issue as I've used the same procedure on a x86 install without issues.
Not only ARM is a Problem. You try to combine Ubuntu Server, Questing and Zorin (with Ubuntu 24.04 Base). This Mixture can't work.
At the Bootom stands E: The repository 'https://ppa.launchpadcontent.net/zorinos/stable/ubuntu questing Release' does not have a Release file.
This Repo doesn't exist. Zorin is based on Ubuntu 24.04 Noble Numbat. Questing Quokka is Ubuntu 25.10 - a STS Release from Canonical.
I have tried both Ubuntu server 22.04 and 24.04.4 with the same results. I could try again on 22.04 to give you the exact error message if you like.
I downloaded from the original link Ubuntu server 22.04.5 and flashed it to a 64Gb flash using BalenaEtcher 2.1.4. The Raspberry Pi 5 fails to boot the USB flash drive. It will boot the same flash drive if I use Raspberry Pi Imager but currently I've been unable to find a method to use the 22.04.5 iso.

Ubuntu Server 24.04.4 LTS
This will boot and the "sudo add-apt-repository ppa:zorinos/stable" works.
The "sudo add-apt-repository ppa:zorinos/gnome-shell-43-testing" fails and this must be because of the Server image is 24.04.4.
I can find no other way to get Raspberry Pi Imager to pull a 22.xx Ubuntu Server image and the .iso's will not boot using either Raspberry Pi Imager or BalenaEtcher.
This is for Gnome 43. On Ubuntu 24, Gnome 46 is in Use.
Did You took the Ubuntu Server Version for ARM?
https://ubuntu.com/download/server/arm
And maybe use a different Bootstick Tool.
It looks like Ubuntu 22.04 is not supported on the Raspberry Pi 5. This links suggestion is to install 24.04 and run 22.04 in a docker.
Any chance Zorinos will make a Gnome 46 release?
https://medium.com/@pqshedy33/how-to-install-ubuntu-22-04-on-raspberry-pi-5-e4637ebc7719
Zorin has a Release for Gnome 43 because they had added that on Zorin 17. Z17 was based on Ubuntu 22.04, which uses Gnome 42. So, Zorin had putted a newer Gnome Version on it.
Now in Zorin 18, that is not the Case. The OS uses Gnome 46 from the Ubuntu 24.04 Base.
The image that booted was 24.04.4. adding the ppa:zorinos/stable repository worked. I tried adding the ppa:zorinos/gnome-shell-46-testing repository but it said that repository was not found.
In order to install the zorin-os-desktop I believe that I need the gnome shell. How do I get the Gnome 46 shell repository into the current 24.04?
Thanks.
That are mostly the Zorin Gnome Extensions.
It isn't found because it doesn't exist. Zorin 18 uses the Gnome Version that comes with the Ubuntu 24.04 LTS Base.

So is there any way to install zorin-os-desktop on Ubuntu 24.04? If not then it appears that Zorinos will not run on a Raspberry Pi 5(unless you run Ubuntu in a docker.)
Thanks
It would be easier to imitate it with setting up Extensions like Dash To Panel and ArcMenu.

We currently run all our Raspberry Pi test stations with Ubuntu Mate and I was hoping for a more windows like appearance. I'd rather not piecemeal it together so we will wait till Zorin OS directly supports the Raspberry Pi 5.
Thanks for all the help.
