Install TOR Latest

Hello guys,
Since I live in Iran and internet is extremely under censorship, I need to use TOR to bypass the limitation, anyway.
I didn't have any problem till two or three months ago by installing tor from terminal. But now it doesn't work anymore, Somehow I can use TOR browser the latest version.
Is there any way to install TOR latest version on terminal? I just can't use the official PPA since it's also under censorship...
Is there any way to bridge from Tor browser to Firefox and Google Chrome?

What about flatpak?

Can you access this site? It includes instructions on what to do when you are blocked.

No, and I wouldn't recommend it anyway. The whole point of use the Tor browser is to use the exact settings that come out of the box, so that everyone using it blends it.

What's most important to understand that is very easy for an ISP — and certainly a government — to detect the use of Tor. The more you can blend in, the better. Using a VPN first, and then Tor, might be a much better alternative.

It would be best to use a dedicated operating system focused on this level of anonymity, like Whonix and Tails, to avoid falling into common mistakes during setup. However, I found this thread that explains how this may be possible to setup using Ubuntu:

Thanks, but my question is how can I install the latest Tor project not Tor browser.
I have installed tor like sudo apt install tor and since the tor version is old, it doesn't work anymore, I guess I have to check Fedora, maybe that works, and there are another projects for Ubuntu 22.10 and above.

I know, I limited my search to Tor, not the browser, and it was the best I could find.

Thank you very much,
I know about that too
Tor on Zorin OS repo is so old, and it doesn't work anymore.
I need this: Why and how I can enable Tor Package Repository in Debian? | Tor Project | Support
but, since Tor repo is under censorship, I can't add to Zorin...

You might want to check this as well in case you can get around that:

Thank you, I did it as the instruction but I get warnings and errors.

It may be that this repository is no longer maintained? Generally speaking I wouldn't recommend going through if the GPG verification is failing, especially with something sensitive.

There's a community that you can checkout, you're likely to have better help over there:

So I found a solution for installing TOR

sudo apt install carburetor

For Ubuntu under 23.04

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:tractor-team/tractor
