The installation of Zorin-OS-17.1-Core-64-bit-r2.iso written on a pendrive with Rufus using a windows machine,
on a MACBook Air 11-inch 2011
gets stuck here:
Have you tried installing with the Macbook disconnected from the internet entirely?
Also - Macbooks are built for Mac and can be finicky about installing other Operating Systems. I highly recommend using rEFInd to install a GnuLinux distro on a Macbook.
what you mean you get stuck there ?
what happens if you select box and continue ?
you are connected to internet yes ?
mind though i have zero experience with Macs, so Aravisian will be better to assist
@Aravisian Not selecting any wifi in any of the 2 steps in which I am asked for, solves the problem. Now the problem is that I do not understand the partition table, but that is another question.
Thanks! @14nd The computer was totally unresponsive: mouse and keyboard. The circle stopped rotating, and I had to stop the mac by holding the power key
in all the installations iv'e done , i let the partition do it's own thing , like leave it at default / auto whatever
thats if u dont wanna dual boot and just a clean install wiping any other OS away
