How is it possible that the download is bigger than the installed software? Then for a screen recorder, not even a game 
It's becasue it's a flat pakage. Flat and Snap needs independently extra pacakges to run, as they don't uses your libs on the system to do so.
Personally I avoid flat and snap when possible.
