Why can't we install a linux distro or windows on a tablet
I know most tablets have arm processor architecture
But I saw some os that can run normally on arm architecture
To conclude
Is it possible to install a linux distro or windows os on android tablet?
I installed Zorin OS on my Android Samsung s6.
It can be done.
But it was a major pain I won't repeat LOL.
Pine already do this:

Why lol
Cool but it is only one smartphone
I mean can another tablets or smartphones do this?
Thanks in advance
If click on the second link in my last post two entries list which phones are compatible.
There is I believe a tablet that Starlabs makes that uses linux, could look into something like that. Unfortunately a lot of products are locked down for one reason or another, and like said previous, can oftentimes be worked around, but just is not worth the hastle most the time.
Yes, but also no: the short answer is proprietary components and drivers.
There are notable efforts to reverse engineer such drivers for mainline linux, but it's a slow and painful process, often focusing on rather old devices.
UI is also an issue; making things fit small screens and reworking how things flow to make sense on small, touch-focused devices. It's a very different paradigm to desktop computing.
