I follow the instructions to change the cursor but it never seems to actually take the one I choose and stays on default. Any ideas?
Its been a bit since I changed the cursors, but where and how are you changing the cursors? I believe you can change them through tweaks but also zorin appearance (unless my memory is lying to me). If that is the case, you would want to change them through the zorin appearance program, as that will most likely be setting them back to the default in the "appearance" that was selected.

Where did You packed the Cursor Theme? I mean in what Folder/Path?

Can you provide a link to the cursor, and a bit more detail about what have you tried?
Typically, it should be a matter of extracting the folder containing the cursor files inside of ~/.icons or ~/.local/share/icons.
