Does Zorin support the installation of a VMware workstation that would allow me to host Windows 11 as a virtual host? I do have applications that only run on Windows, and I would like to keep them running in the virtual environment. I am waiting to hear from you. Thank you
Welcome to the forum!
I believe if they provide a linux applcation (which it says they do on their website) then it should be doable, they would most likely have installation instructions available there. However, I can't test as it seems every time I try to download, they want me to signup for an account, which I will not be doing.
There are other options however. A lot of people are taking a liking to virt-manager lately. There's also virtualbox (oracle), or Boxes. There are plenty of other options available, and really from what I recall of VMWares recent stunts, it may be a good time to take a look at other options and see if they work for you.
You have to now register with Broadcom website in order to download software from them. It is free. VMware was bought by Broadcom. I looked and here is an article on VMware and Linux: Linux and VMware
There are some links in there that might be useful.
I use VMware but in Windows so I can use Linux and Windows OS's. I have everything from Windows 95, 98, XP, 7 and Linux because I also have old games/software I use.
