Intel Microcode and it UI Tool (on an AMD System?)

One thing I have noticed throughout the time I have been using GNU/Linux is it's 'bias' (for want of a better word) to install Intel-microcode. I tend to remove this and make sure AMD-64 microcode is installed in place of this. You would think by now that the Linux Kernel maintainers would have written something to identify what motherboard/processor is in use at point of install - or am I asking too much?

If I remember correctly, this is a Work-In-Progress Thing. It should come at some Point but is no real Date for it. There are only some Ideas. By default, AMD and Intel Microcode should be preinstalled.
