Ipod management on Zorin: gtkpod modifying snap library

Dear all,

I was trying to copy music on my iPod Nano 6th generation from Zorin OS 18.1
The best option seems to use gtkpod which worked fine with my ipod classic 7th generation. gtkpod is quite old and seems to be only available as snap on Ubuntu 24.04 (which I am not a big fan of) so I installed this.
In order for gtkpod to be able to copy to the iPod Nano 6th generation, I need to modify some libgpod libraries as explained here: iPod - ArchWiki
But I don't think it is possible to do that with a snap.
Any ideas?

Did You checked the Developers Website if there are any other Versions offered?

Yes, the project is no longer maintained and last version was 12y ago: GitHub - gtkpod/gtkpod: Main codebase for gtkpod · GitHub
Even this fork has been archived too: GitHub - trinitonesounds/gtkpod: iPod manager · GitHub
This is probably why it's now provided as a snap.
