Looks like there is a critical update needed !!
A bug has been hiding in the Linux kernel where an attacker can gain access using a TCP Networking Linux Kernel Exploit.
We'll have to wait until Zorin/Ubuntu releases an update to fix it.
Here is a list of distributions and kernels that have the fix:
https://www.cyberkendra.com/2026/10/cve-2026-98432-linux-kernel-tcp-flaw-ubuntu-rhel.html
What I find confusing is it states that this flaw is in respect of servers not Desktop GNU/Linux, and aimed at SysAdmins.
Has the Ubuntu team given an ETA on when the update is coming? Or have the Zorin team addressed this?
Ubuntu team is working on it...according to forum there
even the liquorix kernel I am running is effected
If you are running 7.2.10 and above or stable releases stated in the search result in the screen attached you should be O.K. in respect of the Liquorix kernel - I am currently on 7.2.13-1:
Yeah ! liquorix 7.2.10 and above are safe ![]()
wow burned by AI....again....lol just searched again from same search and now its changed its mind
Have you resorted to best out of 3?
Or better, AI 3 strikes and you'r out!
I switched AI responces on web pages only when i search to one that seems to do better. still dont trust them tho now.. and with the latest AI stock crash will see where this all goes...lol
