RealPlayer is like so old and like, outdated. Omg.

Was it ever popular? Granted, I only briefly used Windows 95 and 98. I used XP a lot back in the day, and it's always been Winamp (and occasionally Jet Audio) other than the default Windows Media player. I remember seeing RealPlayer once or twice but not really that often.

We need it back. A renaissance for old media players.

Let's not forget AIMP and Foobar2000!

I can't remember if it was WinAmp or another player that if you played certain music it created visuals to go with it and i am not talking about visualisations but possible pictures as lineart that would fade in and out.

I always remember how annoyed I would get if I opened a movie file and got the message "You need Real Player to view this video!" Aaaaarrrrrrgggggghhhhhh!

Good times!

Winamp was the best audioplayer back in time :sunglasses:

Funny, that you should have back in the days different media-players for different formats.

We can still pretend!

It was EXTREMELY popular for a time. I remember than cnn.com and mlb.com both used it.

Watching postage stamp sized video on the computer was groundbreaking, and made my jaw drop. This was the future!

I even listened to music over dial up...and had my own RealAudio website.

Good times.
