Just a minor irritation can't remove item from.... the start menu, it say's its not installed, but it is there, trying to remove "opera" after a new version was installed, deleted "opera" files that I found but it's still there? thank you.

Is it .deb packages you used? If so check /usr/share/applications and/or ~/.local/share/applications for Opera's .desktop file.
