Just tried Zorin

I have been a Linux user for about 27 years. I repair computers to sell and donate. After hearing a lot of good things about Zorin, I thought I would try it out on a Dell Precision T5600 that was collecting dust.

The install went well, NVIDIA drivers installed and worked perfectly. I was shocked when I saw Plymouth displaying, it never just works on this machine. The desktop looked amazing, clean and modern. Applied a few tweaks to the system and it runs fantastic!

Zorin OS looks and feels premium. My Wife took a look at Zorin and said it was beautiful, lol. Needless to say, I will be installing Zorin OS a lot more in the future. Really glad I checked out Zorin!

Zorin is the game changer and we are lucky to witness this trasition as one of pioneers. Someone spent a lot of time on the appearance and UX.

When I tried the system for the first time, I was amazed by how quickly it loaded and how responsive the interface was.

Finally, some positive feedback again. I feel the same way—I really like Zorin OS, and everything’s working great for me.

P.S.:

@AZorin an @zorink is doing a great job, and I hope Zorin OS will be around for many years to come and continue to evolve.

Hello,

I spent few weeks trying to manage Zorin via Intune MDM solution and to be honest except poor Intune management for Linux I was able to provide work environmet alternative to Win11. I know this is silly preparing Linux for MS platform but until there is alternative for business not managed by these giants we need to slowly create it. Hopefully Zorin Group will focus on this so in 5-10 years Europe can have independend workspace both OS and Cloud.

I've been loading various distro's of Linux, MINT was my favorite, until loading Zorin. What an OS. This is were I landed and even upgraded to Pro.

I tried the Wayland session today, it works fine! The computer has NVIDIA 1030 graphics. The system actually runs smoother! Never expected this to work so well!

Ha... :slight_smile: By sheer coincidence I've just had a white screen of death on Wayland after a long time of perfect service on X11, though I've spent a lot of Zorin time on both window managers. Your post is the first I read after restarting into X11 after the Wayland crash...
As I say, probably pure coincidence - caused by whatever combination of things I'm doing, though a file copy and Zorin Forums browsing doesn't seem problematic to me.

Obio que Zorin es mucho mejor que ese pedazo de Inutil de windows mucha telemetria y mierdas de publicidades y aregla algo y estropean mas ademas no se si te enteraste bueno yo lo observe windows suele cojer 9 Gb de ram en reposo y zorin antes cojeaba 6 gb pero hoy tras actualizarlo quedo en 3 gb com algo vamos cada vez es mejor y la manera de funccionar. y espero que nunca mas vuelva a ese pedazo de windows 11 o futuras generaciones metiendo mierda sea windows 11 o 12 o 13 lo que fuese en fin te agradesco que llevas muchos años en Linux general pero en zorin recien empiezas pero en seguida pillas el truco con el terminal y eso casi son similares y vine yo a zorin por su hermosura me atrayo completo espero que zorin no meta Mierda como lo hace windows y no meta IA por medio a aquellos que la queren deba poner un comando algo asi SUDO INSTAL CHATGPT.NZ o sh en fin sin saturar el kernel o el nucleo del sistema con cosas que no debe y hay mucha privacidad y ademas me gusta asi y pronto creare un programita lo que hara es cambiar los nombres o aislar los procesos de posibles ataques y escritura no autorizada es medida de precaucion ya que zorin no tiene antivirus tiene pero esta como desactivado algo asi. pero no es necesrio pero pronto hare la trnasicion de windows a zorin algunos archivos ya he movido he resuelto el problema con mi wifi 7 Be6500 y va a la velocidad de la luz mis descargas y el ping mas bajo es de 3 ms en fin si zorin logra hacer un programa similar a ManyCam version 9 pero mejorado y funccional para chats o reuniones etc habre completado mi transicion hasta ahora pendo de un hilo para quedarme para zorin jajaja y dire adios a ese windowsito de por vida :smiley: los jeugos de stem funcionan bien en zorin incluso mejor que windows instalando wine o proton en fin .. y como te decia BIenVenido a zorin .. si te interesa wifi 7 Be6500 te pasare el link y asi no tendras que buscarlo y tambien decirte que aparato has de comprar para funccionar si no olvida esta ultima linea Ten lindo Dia..
