Just tried Zorin

I have been a Linux user for about 27 years. I repair computers to sell and donate. After hearing a lot of good things about Zorin, I thought I would try it out on a Dell Precision T5600 that was collecting dust.

The install went well, NVIDIA drivers installed and worked perfectly. I was shocked when I saw Plymouth displaying, it never just works on this machine. The desktop looked amazing, clean and modern. Applied a few tweaks to the system and it runs fantastic!

Zorin OS looks and feels premium. My Wife took a look at Zorin and said it was beautiful, lol. Needless to say, I will be installing Zorin OS a lot more in the future. Really glad I checked out Zorin!

Finally, some positive feedback again. I feel the same way—I really like Zorin OS, and everything’s working great for me.

I spent few weeks trying to manage Zorin via Intune MDM solution and to be honest except poor Intune management for Linux I was able to provide work environmet alternative to Win11. I know this is silly preparing Linux for MS platform but until there is alternative for business not managed by these giants we need to slowly create it. Hopefully Zorin Group will focus on this so in 5-10 years Europe can have independend workspace both OS and Cloud.

I've been loading various distro's of Linux, MINT was my favorite, until loading Zorin. What an OS. This is were I landed and even upgraded to Pro.

I tried the Wayland session today, it works fine! The computer has NVIDIA 1030 graphics. The system actually runs smoother! Never expected this to work so well!

Ha... By sheer coincidence I've just had a white screen of death on Wayland after a long time of perfect service on X11, though I've spent a lot of Zorin time on both window managers. Your post is the first I read after restarting into X11 after the Wayland crash...
As I say, probably pure coincidence - caused by whatever combination of things I'm doing, though a file copy and Zorin Forums browsing doesn't seem problematic to me.
