This is an excellent explanation on how Linux works and the various distributions that are available. PS the guest also has a great plug for Zorin.

Rob Braxman, aka The Internet Privacy Guy has a lot of good videos for people switching from Windows to Linux (albeit, he's a bit wordy). He touched briefly on the issues with TPM, Secure Boot, and Bitlocker in the Video you shared.
He goes a bit more in depth on how these things work together (against *nix installations) with Microsoft's Cloud Cryptography Services (Platform Crypto Provider), the Platform Configuration Register, and through Remote Attestation in this video:
These are really good things for people to know who are wanting to install any *nix based OS on their existing hardware, especially if their motherboard has a TPM Chip.
As a rule of thumb, it's a good idea to always DISABLE the following in the BIOS:
- FastBoot
- SecureBoot
- Intel Management Engine ME
I would also recommend disabling the following, ONLY if not also dual-booting an existing Windows installation (*nix only).
- RAID (Set / Change HD Controller setting to AHCI)
- Bitlocker (*** ONLY if getting rid of Windows, or after confirming Bitlocker has FIRST been disabled in Windows ***)
- TPM Device
great minds think alike, I have this vid sitting in a tab to watch next but first I thought I will just pop on to the Zorin forum for a quick look around ![]()
