After updating to the new kernel 5.13.0-27, my Acer Nitro 5 screen went fuzzy. Recovered by booting up with kernel 5.11 and then realized my l2tp vpn to my office no longer worked. I've tried everything but I think the kernel upgrade has jacked it up. Anybody have any ideas?

You could try kernel 5.16 and see if it solve both problems.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:tuxinvader/lts-mainline -y
sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade
sudo apt-get install linux-generic-5.16
