The application is installed on Zorin 17.1 but no audio files will play. Screen displays action of play but nothing moves? Tried network and local audio library?
Have you checked running in terminal
alsamixer
and checking if any speakers are muted with an [MM] ?

I am having the same issue with Kodi after the 7.1 update. The video will play but no audio for DVD files. Blue Ray files will however play fine. The bug only seems to affect DVD audio. Audio music files play fine as well. Any help is greatly appreciated as I have my entire movie collection in Kodi and am dead in the water now!
