Used Timeshift going to try again, what could possibly go wrong!
It could be the kernel upgrade or if you're using nvidia the driver upgrade that follows the kernel upgrade. If so you can choose previous kernel when booting up. @Aravisian wrote a nice guide about how to do it. Let me find it.

I learning nvidia drivers are new but never working on linux.
The best solution is wait - what poeple saying and staying on older nvidia drivers.
