my laptop stops charging after 60% have no idea why.
any idea why this could be?
The battery needs to be calibrated.
The standard method is to:
- Charge your battery to the maximum it seems to go.
- Leave the laptop plugged in for 2 hours after you reach that percentage.
- Unplug the AC adapter and use the computer until the battery dies (You can leave it sitting idle if you want).
- Repeat this a few times.
Although the above sounds pain-staking, it usually works out better than you expect just with the timings of life...
Another thing to look into is a BIOS setting that may interfere on Lenovo, but I need to look that up.
