I installed Zorin 17.2 on a Lenovo X230 and so far it works very well!
Unfortunately the Lenovo Ultrabase 3 isnt recognized, any ideas how to solve this?
I have just done some websearches on this subject using: "Lenovo Ultrabase 3 Ubuntu 22.04". Only hits are items dated about 2 yrs ago, including e.g. Lenovo USB-C Dock with multiple monitors - Ask Ubuntu
Often Displayport drivers are mentioned.
Thank you! I found this as well, my case is that I would like to use the CD -Rom drive in the Ultrabase. Very oldschool, yes I know...
Any further hints would be greatly appreciated!
So it just might be about the drivers for the DVD drive, any ideas how to find and install them?
What info would I need to have about the drive and how do I find them?
I have Win10 machine which recognizes it, I could get info there as well...
On the DVD drive itself it says:
Lenovo DVD Multi IV
Model:
GU40N
(ALIK701)
Drive A2
LGE-DMGU40N(B)
Sorry for my monologue, after installing some firmware updater apps via software and then (the good old and golden) VLC media player it runs.
Maybe the solution was just VLC, I dont know...
I have marked the solution post.
Thanks, could (and should) I have made that myself?
Well, you can. But it's not a creteria
