Locking your screen on OS 16

It should be easy to lock your machine, as in a screen lock, but there is no option to do this when you click on the "Z".

You can power off or log off or restart, but not "lock".

It is there, check here :

Actually it depends which layout you using..

But you can always click on bottom, right part, where wifi icon is, and there you have lock

You can also use the keyboard shortcut, which is faster... super + L

I tried “Super +L”….i tried changing the shortcut in Settings…nothing worked. Maybe i should try another desktop…idk

I do not know if that would help you.
The LockScreen button is present not only in Zorin OS Core, But in Zorin OS Lite Zorinmenu lite. It is present in Whiskermenu.
It is present in Cinnamon on Zorin, in Stark menu. In Cinnamenu. In mate Menu.
In Advanced Main Menu.

Can you check GDM3?

sudo dpkg-reconfigure gdm3

I think in gnome it defaults to ctrl + alt + L. You can find the lockscreen in keyboard shortcuts and change it. It's an Ubuntu thing.

I've experienced this as well on Zorin 17. I haven't found a work around yet, but will post one of I do.
