I am running ZorinOS Lite 16 and i want to change the date format on the lock screen. I did the same on the log in screen using LightDM GTK+ Greeter. Is there a similar tool for the lock screen ?

The Lockscreen is governed by the screensaver.
Search screensaver in the app menu and launch it.
Move to the Lockscreen tab.
Sadly... There is no easy access to change the date time configuration without re-compiling the software:
