Don't have to use the Scroll Fix extension anymore, and smooth scrolling is back. Yea.
I prefer using Firefox ESR - no issues (or spyware) here! 
And sometimes, TOR.

I compared the scrolling with FF and they are now the same. Still have to keep auto-login off or Chrome will ask you to login after a start/restart, which you should do anyway.
My goal is to transition from Windows in the simplest way possible. Keeping Chrome makes it easy since I am in it 90% of the time. I have an Android phone so Google is already spying on me. At least I get customized news.
I have a totally unGoogled Android phone with a crafted private Chromium Browser and I also use TOR Browser.
