Have been using Zorin OS 17.1 for nearly 2 months, and then upgraded to Zorin OS 17.2. There are somethings that simply didn't work after the upgrade, like the screencast or screen recording function, and along with setting custom shortcuts. Some of my shortcuts were just working fine, and all of a sudden, most of them just lost their functionality for no reason. Even right now, adding a new shortcut is just useless. No shortcuts work. For an example, I set the command "sudo shutdown now" to this key combination of "Alt+0", but the shortcut is not working at all. Can someone help me to fix this?
Are you logging in to Wayland? Wayland is the default compositor on Zorin. Do you have the same issues if you select Zorin on xorg at login?
I just use Wayland as default. never logged into Xorg sessions.
I would give vokoscreenNG a try. It is what I use for screen casting before editing in KDEnlive, then render in KDenlive before uploading to vimeo.com.
I seem to remember at least one other case like this here on the forum. Not sure if it was solved, would have to look it up, but it seem that the upgrader is still a little green in some aspects. Have you tried to re-assign the keyboard shortcuts again?
I had already re-assigned the keys several times again, and still everything stays the same...
