I have used Zorin for a long time, multiple major version. Love it really but have noticed now that V18 Pro is slow to load the dock and top bar on startup. The background loads quickly and a transparent version of the top bar appears but if takes a fair bit for the rest of the desktop and icons to appear.... Hadn't had that experience with V16 or V17. Once it loads, the system seems VERY zippy until once and a while the cursor freezes and the system seems unresponsive. (AMD Ryzen 5 Pro AI 340, Radeon 840M, 16GB RAM, 1TB NVME in Dell PB16255. Laptop)
This is a similar sound to how 18 runs on my hardware. The fix for me has been to switch to X and stay there. To do so (if you haven't already) when you're logging in and typing your password, bottom right of the screen will be a cog. Click it and select "Zorin on X" and then login as normal.
That would be the first thing I would check, anyway. It's also possible that your hardware may need a newer kernel as that is a very new CPU, but try the X solution first.
Beneath switching to Xorg like @applecheeks37 suggested, maybe installing a newer Kernel would be worth a Try because of Your relatively new Hardware.
