Lutris Install

Hi, I installed Lutris (Flatpack) so I could play some of my GOG games on my newly installed Zorin 18.
All seems fine and I'm happy with the installation and how it works but if I look at the Installed section in Software. Under Lutris it reports "Stopped Receiving Updates"
Is this a problem?
Thanks in advance. Cheers.

Could You post a Screenshot of the Message?

You could use instead of the Flatpak Version the offered .deb Version from their Github Page:

Thanks for reply.
If I went with Deb version would I have to uninstall the games I've already installed under Flatpak before uninstalling Flatpak Lutris?

It seems that the Flatpak might use Gnome 46 as Runtime Environment. And I guess that doesn't get Updates anymore. If my Guess is right, it is up to the Developer to change that. You can't do anything there.

To be honest: I don't know that. I would do it to avoid Problems when the .deb Version maybe don't detect the Games. that means additional Circumstances but I would take them. But that is only my personal Point of View. You could wait for other Users who have Experience with that.

Give Heroic Launcher a try, I have better luck with it when it comes to GOG. If you want Mango and Gamescope you will need to run

flatpak install flathub runtime/org.freedesktop.Platform.VulkanLayer.gamescope
and
flatpak install flathub org.freedesktop.Platform.VulkanLayer.MangoHud

use 25.08

Thanks for pointing me towards Heroic Launcher. I'd never heard of it but giving it a go and well impressed. Cheers

“Stopped Receiving Updates” just means that the Flatpak version of Lutris isn’t being updated by the repo you installed it from, not that the app itself is broken. This usually happens when the Flatpak build is maintained separately and the maintainer hasn’t pushed the latest updates yet.

It’s not harmful Lutris will continue working normally but if you want the most up to date version, you can install Lutris from the official Lutris repository or through your distro’s package manager instead of the Flatpak. Otherwise, you can keep using it as is; the message isn’t a critical issue.
