Mac not booting from zorin OS lite usb

MacBook Air 2019 here,
I made a zorin OS lite USB drive using balena ethcer. . In the balena etcher program it went through the verification process and confirmed it a success. So I restart and click efi boot, but instead of zorin OS I get an apple massage saying “the version of Mac os on your drive needs to be reinstalled” like it did’nt recognize it was zorin OS? Just as a fake or Damaged version of MAC OS. Anyone know what to do. Ps. I am sure it is the 64 bit version of the disk image.
