Also, I want to use Zorin OS' extensions, So I did some tweaks, first install Zorin themes and icons, Copy Zorin's extensions to Debian, BUT most of them don't work. I get the following errors, I assume these errors are for Gnome versions difference
.
.
The next issue, How can I apply themes to apps like Files.
I think that the Zorin OS Extensions are specific made for Zorin. So, I don't think that they are simply run on other Systems. So, you have to look for Alternatives like You already have: ArcMenu and Dash To Panel.
When You say, that You use Debian: Do You use Debian Stable?
Because of the Themes: Did You sumply copied the Zorin Theme Folders from Zorin? And where did You put them on Debian? And have You installed the User Themes Gnome Extension and activate this? Because without that, you can't use Themes.
Hello @Ponce-De-Leon
I use Debian 12.7 stable on Virtual Machine (Gnome Boxes)
And yes Debian has User Themes extension and I did enable it, Actually that is not Dash to Panel, that's Zorin Taskbar extension, I just copy Zorin's extension into Debian and most of them didn't work except Zorin Desktop Icon and the Taskbar.
I can search for alternative extensions, but Zorin Menu is the best... it has 4 awesome layouts. anyway, how can I fix the themes?
If You mean the Desktop Layouts: that is because with Zorin Appearance will the Zorin Extensions enabled and disabled like the Layout is. On a non-Zorin Distro You have to do that by Yourself - for Example with the Extension Manager.
If You mean the Startmenu Layouts: You should simply take a Look in ArcMenu. There are a lot of Startmenu Layouts included.
For the Themes: Did You simply copied the Theme Folders from /usr/share/themes/ in Zorin OS? If yes, where did You packed then?
I wouldn't expect, that they do. I think, it is better to search for open Alternatives.
I download the latest version from GitHub and copied them into .local/share folder (icons and themes) and set them by Gnome tweaks.
I meant Zorin Menu layouts, not Zorin Appearance.
You could try to put them to /usr/share/themes/ instead and then check if it works.
When You want the normal default Zorin Startmenu, you simply need use in Arcmenu the default ''ArcMenu'' Layout. Then you only need to set it up with the available Settings. This is my ArcMenu:
