Please add option to open new window by middle click on icon app in taskbar (like in Windows 7 and above). Right now middle click closing all active windows of current app 
You should be able to configure this in the Taskbar's Settings > Behavior
Correction: it's under Taskbar Settings > Action > Click Action (Settings icon) > Middle-Click action
