Monitor settings

Zorin works fine, the installation went well.

The only problem is that my monitor (Benq 2250) is way to bright.
Can you make a simple program which makes it possible to adjust brightness, contrast and colors so I can enjoy working with Zorin?
Thank you.

Hi, and welcome to the Zorin OS forums!

You should be able to use the function keys on your keyboard to control the brightness, or the slider in Settings -> Power (also available in the system tray). Do those not work for you?

PS: I've updated the category to General Help for the time being.

Hi Zenzen,

I can see the slider for brightness on my laptop but not on my desktop (on my desktop there is one slider for volume on my laptop 2 sliders).

I use Brightness Controller though this is a standalone GUI application, not a Gnome Extension:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:apandada1/brightness-controller

sudo apt update && sudo apt install brightness-controller

Ah, yes I also have it like that. Unfortunately (or fortunately for me) this never bothered me and use the physical controls of the monitor directly, whenever needed, and I never looked into this.

Looking around online, quite a few source mention the same Brightness Controller option so that may be a good one to try.
