After showing the boot logo, the monitor just turns off and i have to plug out the HDMI and plug it back in. After it turns on the resolution is stuck on 1280x800 when it should be 1920x1080. There isn't even the option to change the res to 1920x1080, and i used a different post's tactics. This never happened on win10, so i don't know why it's happening now. I've been using Zorin for a while now, and this has been happening since the beginning.
Did it happen after an update ?
Did you try to boot to older kernel ?
boot to older kernel
- Restart the PC and press Escape during boot to access the GRUB menu (may also be accessed with Shift)
- Select "Advanced options for Zorin OS"
- Here, you can see the available kernels to boot into. Choose the older one (without recovery option)
