I did. It purged all Nvidia related packages and now I can only log in the recovery mode.

I am now trying to ubuntu-drivers autoinstall it is removing the 390 drivers and installing 340 ones (wherever it got them). Will report results

Post installation script of 340 drivers returned exit code 10 :frowning:

I am worried I will need to reinstall again. Can’t get it even to mouse broken fresh install

First,

Then,

Also add

sudo apt install --reinstall zorin-os-desktop

It took quite some time. But still the same. Black screen. Can only get to recovery mode

ctrl + alt + F1 didn't work?

Well it does work in recovery. But I can no longer do normal boot

wait, after login to Ctrl + Alt + F1
type,

sudo apt install --reinstall zorin-os-desktop

This should remove the black screen!

I did that. And it did not remove the black screen :frowning:

Desktop there But no Video Drivers!

Type

apt search nvidia-driver

Remember the version you want then

sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade

then,

sudo apt install [driver_name]

driver name = nvidia-(version number you noted)

then,

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:graphics-drivers/ppa
ubuntu-drivers devices
sudo apt install [driver_name]
