Ever since moving to Zorin 18 I've been having issues with my mouse scroll wheel. I have a Logitech MX Master 3 Mouse, but for some reason it scrolls way too much when I move it only one notch. I'll be using it on VLC player, but instead of the volume jumping 5% it jumps 15%. It also does it when I'm scolling on TikTok or other feeds, and ends up skipping content. I tried tweaking the settings, but for some reason Zorin doesn't allow you to change the scroll wheel speed.
Is there an easy way to fix this? Keep in mind that I'm not an advanced user.
That's what I thought. I tried this solution already and it didn't work. I'm assuming that this is going to be one of those annoying issues that's unlikely to be resolved in future updates. Would it make a difference getting a new mouse?
The fact that this isn't an option to easily do still baffles me to this day. It's something that ANYONE could want to change at any time. This isn't just a Zorin issue, it's a Gnome issue. Its been discussed for years, and they simply don't care: Adding Scroll Speed setting in GNOME - Desktop - GNOME Discourse
That makes sense. I think the devs of Zorin and GNOME are doing a great job, but I don't get why basic features like this are always ignored. It's these little annoyances that make it hard for people to switch from Windows to Linux.
