Mouse wheel scroll number of lines

I've been a Windows user since before Windows 3.0 and now with the release of Windows 11, I decided to make the switch to Linux. I've been using Linux Zorin 17 for about 2-months and like it a lot. There is one feature missing that I would love to see added to the GUI...Better and more complete mouse configuration, especially the number of lines the mouse wheel will scroll. I can't get my Logitech mouse to scroll less than 3-lines. I want it at 1-line and have tried several online methods, but none have worked. I'd love to see this feature added to the next release.

Perhaps you can do this with this program (switch from Wayland to XOrg before): imwheel

But yes, a solution for Zorin with a graphical interface that is easier to use would be nice.

I tried imwheel and did all the steps as outlined and it did not work. Maybe it's because I'm using KDE Plasm and not GNOME? I also tried other methods too, but nothing seems to work.

When you are searching for a solution for the browser often there can be made special settings there or added a flag. Which browser do you use?

For brave browser you could enable
these (I'm not sure if they still exist) for testing

  • brave://flags/#smooth-scrolling
  • brave://flags/#windows-scrolling-personality

I want the mouse to scroll one line up or down in all apps. I also use Brave for my browser and not Firefox. I have nothing against Firefox, but I really like Brave. I read where in the imwheel config file you have to specify the application to be affected, that's not what I'm looking for either. I want it to be universally 1-line at a time up and down.

Moved from "Feedback" section to "General Help" section, which fits better as OP is seeking help with mouse.
