I have a rather frustrating issue with my mouse wheel. When I left my mouse alone for like 5 seconds the next time I try to scroll, it wont register the input. I have to rotate the wheel 2-3 times for a response, and after that it is really sluggish. However, if I move the mouse first it is working just fine. It does not matter if the mouse is wireless or not. I have tried multiple mice Asus, Trust, Logitech, Lidl, same result. I have installed Zorin roughly 3 months ago, this is my first time on Linux so I am really out of the water with any kind of trouble shooting.
Thank you in advance!
I have the same issue, and never figured it out. But I suspect it has something to do with the mouse, entering a sleep state when not in use. I too have had this issue with several mice, such as Logitech, and SteelSeries. Maybe an answer will find both of us, in this thread.
I only read that using imwheel helps for this issue- but this program is no more maintained and sometimes causes other problems. It can only be used on Xorg not on Wayland. At loginscreen (cogwheel) you can switch to Xorg.
