Multiple desktops

fairly new to Linux as an escapee from windows, I have zorin 17.1 installed on my laptop in a dual boot setup with win 11. the desktop I have installed is Gnome but would like to have XFCE as well. how to do it please.
regards

It depends if You want the normal xfce Desktop or if You want use the Zorin xfce Desktop from the Lite Version.

If You want the Zorin xfce Desktop (Lite-Version) type in the Terminal:

sudo apt install zorin-os-lite-desktop lightdm

When you install that there should come a Window on the Installation where You should be able choose between the Login Managers. GDM3 ist the One from Gnome and LightDM the One from xfce. So, if You want the xfce Login Screen choose LightDM.

Yes, good Point I'll add that.

XFCE can use LightDM or GDM. LightDM is lighter and gives a slightly faster time to reach the desktop.
But a user can use whichever they prefer.
