My camera gives input but cant record

soo i previously posted about this that my webcam isnt working.there is some progress the thing is that my webcam finally stared giving input on the gnome camera app after i downloaded it. it shows everything in the camera app but when i try to take a pic or record vid from webcam,it says it cant although its giving input.sidenote:my webcam also has a built in mic which also does not work
sidenote2:i dont ave a video card

ive tried many other camera apps and the result is same

Do you have very new, up-to-date hardware? If so, it might help you to use a newer kernel. You can install this with mainline.

The camera may still require permissions to be able to save images/recordings.

Can you please open a Terminal (Menu | Utilities | Terminal) and enter:

lsusb

and post back the results please

Your camera appears to work on some machines and not others with some being detected and others malfunctioning:

You have to be aware your machine was designed to work with that other OS. I recommend that you purchase a cheap usb powered webcam if you have enough ports spare. I've never had an issue with logitech cams or if you want a GNU/Linux dedicated camera:
