I went to the correct location in Zorin to change the mouse cursor size (Settings > Accessibility > Seeing > Cursor Size), and when picking the larger sizes, NOPE doesn't change it! WHY?! Very frustrating. The cusror is literally a quarter of the size of a letter of text on the screen. I'm constantly having to click the highlight to find the tee tiny mouse cursor.
If you want people to take your Linux O/S distribution seriously you need to not have basic operability fails like this right out of the box / gate that make them just turn their Windows 11 back on and hate you for not letting them escape THAT disaster-thon.
I have version 18.1 "Noble" running on a Dell Latitude 7400.
Zorin by default uses the Wayland display protocol. Wayland is known for not being friendly to Accessibility.
At login, select your user name and a cog should appear lower right. Click on it and then click on 'Zorin desktop on xorg', then enter your password. Once logged in see if you can change the cursor size to your desired size.
Not sure why it's not changing for you. Mine is real big using the larger option under cursor size ( Wayland). Do you have a special cursor selected perhaps? I have the default Adwaita
Some of my Qt apps or other legacy apps show smaller cursors, however the Zorin cursor settings do apply for the rest of my Wayland session. All fixable by searching which folders to create or environment variables to add to make old Qt apps behave. (Also having to allow themefiles for flatpaks is a silly technical thing to have to do for the average user). I wonder if it is some kind of obscure graphics driver thing. Hope x11 helps.
Whilst on the subject of packages I personally recommend avoiding snap and Flatpak applications as they create bloatware. If I were still using Zorin they would be the first things I would remove, i.e., Snap and Flatpak.
