My problems and opinion on Zorin OS 18

Hi,
I got the free version 18 - let me start of that.
I switched sadly o Linux Mint - just to see if ill have same problems.
So far i had not.

  1. the system after installing was quite slow (slower then windows)
updateting all drivers including nvidia was successful but didnt change much.
  2. window switching(alt+tab) was very slow and rarly fast responsive.
  3. Games Like ONI or MineMogul were working slow and felt kind of staggery.
  4. I was not able to install M365 sadly.
  5. In linux mint my mouse wheel acts almost exacly as in windows. at least i can scroll with if when first installed (couldnt in mint and i was given a guide to follow - which worked fantastic)

the general expierince was weird - i mean it felt more stable then windows but slower then windows.
so I decided totest other popular Linux - mint XFCE and Cinnamon.

I am on that system for 2 days now and i have no such issues as desribed, and to be honest - installing nvidia driers were twice as easy.

That all said.
I feel like Zorin is very intuitive system, and feels easier then mint to work on.
I do hope this will be replicable for devs so they can improve.
For sure i will check the 19th eddition when it comes out.

Because You mentioned, You use Nvidia: Did You used Zorin in Wayland or X11/Xorg? On Zorin the Combination of Nvidia and Xorg is recommended because it works better.

For the Drivers it would be good to know what Graphics Card You have and what Drivers You did use.

I have Asus 3070 TI Card,
and yes I used few tutorials for nvidia drivers.
always returning to same slownes sproblem

Which nvidia driver did you install on Zorin? Did you test to switch to XOrg if the system was set to Wayland?

Did You tried it to uninstall/install over the Terminal, too? And did You checked because of X11/Xorg?
