This has a good idea - have you checked alsamixer to see your channel configuration? It may be set to '2' for stereo; may be worth looking into.
You probably misunderstand, I don't have wires for an analog 5.1 connection, but the digital SPDIF connection is all there and plugged in- there is no sound, and yes, I checked the analog 5.1 sound, I found the wires for a while.
And that's why I have a problem exclusively with the Digital audio output to my receiver, I really lack DTS, DolbyDigital
Of course, I chose 5.1, 7.1, but this applies to analog audio output, I also need digital audio output via SPDIF (optics if easier)
