Need help with Bluetooth connectivity on Zorin OS 17 Pro

Hello everyone,

I am reaching out to seek assistance regarding an issue I'm experiencing with my Zorin OS 17 Pro installation. Despite my efforts, I have been unable to get the Bluetooth functionality to work properly. This is particularly frustrating for me as Bluetooth is essential for my workflow.

I have diligently followed various tutorials both from online sources and within the Zorin OS forum itself, but unfortunately, none of the suggested solutions have yielded success. As a paying user of the Pro version, it is disheartening to encounter such difficulties that impede my ability to fully utilize the system's capabilities.

I am sincerely reaching out to the community in the hopes that someone may have encountered a similar issue or possesses the expertise to provide guidance on resolving this matter. Any assistance or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Best regards,

Ermesson Rodrigues

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Did you come to ZorinOS from Windows?
If true, did you disable Fast Start in Windows and disable Secure Boot in your BIOS?

Can you tell us a bit about your machine hardware and particularly your wifi and bluetooth adapter.
After you installed Z17, did you check Software Updater > Additional Drivers tab for drivers etc?

OK, usually bluetooth uses usb. Ensure Bluetooth in BIOS is active/key combo has it switched on.

sudo lshw -C usb

or just

lsusb

Gday @ermesson ,

Please keep us informed on your progress.
It looks like it's all working, is it a Linux compatible usb BT?
Have you used the usb BT device before on a Linux system?

You may see some errors in

cat /var/log/syslog
