Just picked up one of these for work stuff, Windows - do have it dual-booted though and didn't even realize the fingerprint scanner when I picked it up.
Anyway - got Zorin Core 17 installed, setup, went back into Windows and got my fingerprint going since I saw it pop up.. then thought, well I'd like to get that in Zorin too.. And it works!
This is the lsusb output with HW ID: 27c6:550a Shenzhen Goodix Technology Co.,Ltd. FingerPrint
The only thing I had to do was install libfprint-2-tod1-goodix
- found that after about 10min of research, but absolutely works!
Thought I'd throw that out there - been rather busy out of town with work and all lately. When I got this working I was pretty pleased. I did notice with Wayland: I still have to enter my password after using my fingerprint to login - keyring unlock. With Xorg, it doesn't do that.. weird.
Just a heads up to anyone that gets one of these or has a newer-ish Goodix fingerprint scanner!
