"No bootable device" message after installation

Hi,

I installed Zorin on one of my old Core 2 Duo PCs. The installation completed successfully, as I received the final message confirming that the installation was complete and was prompted to remove the installation USB drive.
When the PC restarts, Zorin does not appear!
I get this message on the screen:

What is this message and how can I resolve it?

Of course, I changed the boot order in the BIOS to put the hard drive back.

Thanks!

Are secure boot and fast boot in your BIOS disabled and also fast startup in the energy settings of Windows if you have a Dualboot with Windows?

When you have a legacy BIOS you need to set the partition scheme to MBR when you create the bootstick (and when you have UEFI set GPT).

Beneath @Forpli's Points: Do You have in BIOS in Your Boot Order an ''ubuntu'' Entry? If yes, set it on Position 1.

On Your Picture, I find interesting ''Media test failure, check cable''. Maybe check if all cables to Your Drive/s areplugged in correctly.

What the message is telling you is that no bootloader was installed, so the BIOS operating system cannot see a bootable User Operating system to load.

After following the steps suggested above, I would recommend reinstalling and you can use this thread to take it step-by-step to ensure that installing is going smoothly.
For example, checking if installing as MBR or EFI - if installing as EFI, is MBR (Legacy) disabled in your BIOS settings, and so on.

If you boot from your live media and run GParted and post a screenshot it might indicate that '/' partition has not been labeled as such (no bootable flag made).

There is an help article about that, some bios are stupidly too strict (mainly acer laptops, I had that problem on an a friend's laptop)

The step in the article fixed it and I was able to boot on the fresh install of zorin.
