No detecta sistema operativo al arrancar [Translation: Does not detect operating system at startup]

Buenas he instalado 3 veces ya el zorin os 18 y al arrancar dice que no hay sistema operativo. He buscado por Internet y no encuentro las opciones que sugieren cambiar en la bios. Tengo un Toshiba satellite L500 por si da pistas. He eliminado windows.

This notebook may be set to Legacy (MBR) in the BIOS, but the Zorin OS Installer set to the newer EFI.
If there is no EFI partition to write the bootloader to, then the system will not see any bootloader for the operating system, leading a message saying that no operating system was found.

If you do not want to change any BIOS settings, then burning your .iso to a bootable as Legacy instead of EFI should lead to a fully successful install.

Welcome to the Forum!

  • Are Secure Boot and Fast Boot in BIOS disabled?
  • In Relation to @Aravisian's Comment: Is Your BIOS in Legacy or UEFI Mode?
  • What Tool did You use to create the Bootstick?
  • Do You have in BIOS in the Boot Order List an ''ubuntu'' entry? If yes, set it on Position 1

Websearch using "Toshiba satellite L500 UEFI or Legacy BIOS?" seems to point in that direction. Found this: https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?t=444249

@Miazu Which USB creation tool did you use?
and when creating your USB with that tool, did you select MBR (legacy)or GPT UEFI)?
