Hi, is there any performance power plan? Because I just switched to Zorin OS from Windows and I'd like to at least get some performance out of my laptop. Now, I've seen a user say they found the option for it in the control centre on the login screen, which I didn't find. Is there any way to enable it?
Can't you find it in the quick settings of the taskbar?
You can use the command
"powerprofilesctl set performance"
You can check whether it was successful with "powerprofilesctl get", this displays the active power profile.
Some PCs seem not to support this mode.
You can also take a look into your BIOS/UEFI.
Thanks, that helped!
I noticed I don't have the Performance option myself.. but when I set with powerprofilesctl performance - settings won't open.. weird.. idk if there's something else I need to do to help that or not but, have an i5 with Intel Iris 6200 ..
When You don't have the Performance Option, it could be because it isn't supported. I don't have it on Zorin, too. But when I tested Fedora 42 a while ago, I had the Performance Option.
Where exactly in UEFI would that be?
