Cannot get any sound out of my dell inspiron gaming pc with realtek audio. pls help!
What model is your notebook? I'm asking because when it is a very new one you may need a later kernel which you can install, e.g. mainline or liquorix

Do You get Sound when plugging in external Speakers or Headphones/Headset? Could You post the Output of the Terminal Command sudo lshw -C multimedia please?
Do you get sound when using "Try Zorin" from installation Live USB?

heres specs no audio even from audio jack fairly new to the linux world, i had the sound working great with rpm fusion before on fedora 43 but i decided to switch all my pcs to zorin, oddly this one always has issues with sounds on any distro i have tried i stuck with fedora for while but im dtermined to make zorin behave!
Try this or the guide from Linux Mint forum linked above, it is the same principle.
Add those lines at the end of the file
/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf:
Open the terminal and enter
sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
Add the lines
options snd-hda-intel model=auto
blacklist snd_soc_avs
Then press ctrl+o to save, press enter to confirm, and then press ctrl+x to exit the editor.
You can also test if it is enough to add only the second line.
Then reboot.
If it doesn't help repeat the steps and remove the added line/s, then reboot.
